Best wireless router for gaming is an ethernet cable.

Otherwise any respectable dual band router will do. Nighthawk bullshit is just a money grab.

Don't go for anything with "GAMING" in the name. Netgear's Nighthawk (despite the stupid name for a router) series tend to be good, albeit expensive. I personally use the ASUS RT-AC68U and it copes very well.

EDIT: As ZetZet mentioned, use a cable connection the router if you can. Doing that will make more of a difference than the amount of antenna the router has.

Do you also have a GAMING Door in your room, and a Gaming Lamp?

Oh man Fuck up with the GAMING things

A lot of retards are getting gaming chairs :P just get a nice fucking office chair.

Edit before rage: Some of the are fine. But it's still just stupid fucking branding to add money onto a product that they already had finished.

ASUS RT-AC68U  is a decent model.

And....I am using an airport extreme....Basically it is plug and go , very easy to set up.

Last time I choose apple over asus is because I just want it hassle free.

The range of the wifi signal is okay,.... Not the best , but probably it has to do with the location you put your wifi router.

My one is at the corner of my desk.....

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

I just recently purchased the Net gear Nighthawk for our home. The current router I was using was a single band only N model. Thus with a mixture of 2.4 GHz only and 5.0GHz capable items I had to stick with the 2.4 to keep everything running. So I was having a hard time gaming on my laptop while anyone used the Roku or streamed anything on the 2.4 band. So I upgraded my laptop with a new AC Duel band card and purchased a Nighthawk. So far it is working really well as they can watch anything and it does not interfere with my use at all. But as has been previously said most of the more high end routers will work and nothing is better than a cable.
