Is my MB killing WiFi cards?

IAmAndre

Hi,

I'm having WiFi issues again on my PC. I built it last year and I had WiFi issues after a few months. I would get a good signal, but no internet connection, or just a very slow one. I was forced to use my phone as a WiFi adapter for some time. I thought that the WiFi card died.

Last week I bought a new WiFi card, and I'm having the exact same issue this morning. I can't even open a web page, but I'm getting a WiFi signal of 4/5. Everything works perfectly when I use my phone again as a WiFi adapter.

I don't have another desktop to run more tests, but I'm curious to know if both cards died or if the problem is coming from my MB. Maybe the PCI-e port has a problem? What can I do? Should I just upgrade the MB (it's an MSI H81M)?

By the way, the audio is no longer working neither on the MB neither, so I had to buy an external audio card. Probably a shortcut, do you think it could have affected the PCI-e as well?
