Athlon X4 860K Motherboard Compatibility Help! (M-ITX)

Ekaterian

I recently bought the:

"ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ FM2+ AMD A88X HDMI SATA3 USB3 Mini ITX Motherboard"

However, as I was using an Athlon, I quickly found out that the Motherboard had to use an APU to flash the BIOS. (I bricked the BIOS) I sent the Motherboard in for a refund, but am trying to find an M-ITX Mother board (FM2+) that would support the 860K out of the box. (BIOS) I recently found this motherboard (GA-F2A88XN-WIFI) and was wondering if it would work out of the box with the 860K.

I thank you for any help in advance!

It's a hit or miss with BIOS versions unfortunately, you just have to hope you get a board from the new batch with updated BIOS'. The same thing happen to me with my first board.

I have the same motherboard and it worked out of the box.

Most of them have the latest BIOS installed that supports up to Godavari.

I appreciate the help, I'll take the plunge.

Wait, you used the first motherboard out of the box? You don't have the Gigabyte one?

I only used the ASRock one, not the Gigabyte one.

Yeah, the ASRock one didn't work for me.
