I don't see anything wrong with that build. Looks fine.

My budget is $1000 Canadian any tip or suggestions?

I'd personally stay on Haswell Refresh and stretch to a 970 or 390.

But it should all work and everything like that.

Better PSU (such as a 500W SeaSonic, XFX or Antec HCG) and switch to a R9 380.

Everything looks great :)

 

Except personally it's not worth upgrading to skylake unless it is cheaper or the same price as the 4690K

I would get a mobo that supports overclocking locked cpus like the ones from asrock, and also get a 4gb R9 380. I would also skimp out on the ssd to get a better gpu and get a spec 01 case to save a couple bucks
