Hi everyone.

Im going crazy here and i have tried to fix this problem for about 15 hours, nothing helps and i cant find any other that are having the same problem.

When i play fullscreen games (Cs:go, Battlefront etc) Im getting major FPS dropp. i mean from 100+fps to 1. And it stays at 1 fps. But when i change it to window mode, it works great. Dota2 for example is working great when its a borderless game.

I have noticed when i press a button on my keybord, it also laggs. I have no idea if its the keybord (its only 1 month old) or if its the graphic card?

Im going bananas because i upgraded to a GTX 970, a new screen and a new keybord 1 month ago, Reinstalled Windows 10 and it went well for 2 weeks, then after that this hell started.

Anyone have any F****** idea what to do? i have reinstalled drivers, tested with other keybords/USB places and done everything i can think of. Im even thinking of downgrading to Windows 7 again (i dont want to since i have had W10 for a long time now).

If you need more info, tell me and i will provide it!

Wish me luck before i sell the computer and buy a unicorn instead.

Sincerely Fredrik.

Ok so 1. Did you try a different PCI-E port? 2. Did you reinstall the drivers? and 3. What's the brand and RAM buffer on the 970?

Edit: Oops you did reinstall the drivers.

RAM buffer? As in just the amount of memory it has? If not, what is RAM buffer?

It's a long shot that I doubt will do anything. But just to be sure, check your GPU and CPU temperatures (using the MSI Afterburner and Coretemp programs)

Yes as in the amount of memory it has.

3.5GB. It does have 4GB but 500MB of it is f*cked up.

Try removing OC?

Cant play with stock, its only 2.6. And i have had this OC for over 1 year now without any problems. Then i can buy a new motherboard and a new CPU ^^ And since its only fullscreen its doing this with, i dont think its the CPU. Temps are fine on both GPU and CPU.

Hmm okay. Fair enough, that's a valid point.

If it only just started happening, could you recover from an earlier point?

I dont know if its a setting in Nvidia, Windows or anything else. Computer is working good otherwise, its only the bloody fullscreen mode. When this problem started, i reinstalled the computer and it was working fine again. Then i installed my programs and changed some Nvidia settings (yeah i know, im stupid as fuck) and after that whenever i play in fullscreen or if i have a Video/twitcher on my other screen, everything goes down to 1 fps. So it could be some settings in Nvidia, it could also be the redering, but since the card is new and working without fullscreen, i dont think so.

Im wondering if i should reinstall my computer again (or just test with the drivers so they go back to basic) before i do that. But then i have to document everything i do in Nvidia to see what the fuck is doing this.

Completely remove all Nvidia software. (If you want, remove registry keys to be 100% sure but do it at your own risk). I think CCleaner will do that for you in the reg clean option.

Then re-install nvida stuff

If the above does not work, do what you said re-install and document every process you do.
