Srsly though.

How2UPS?

First build (see sig).

Currently plugged to an extension cord. Which has four slots,

Slot 1: External 2TB HDD

Slot 2: Printer

Slot 3: Monitor

Slot 4: PC.

Questions:

1.) Is this setup safe? The extension cord itself is a bit sketchy. But so far the setup has been working since December.

2.) If I do decide to get a UPS? WHAT? HOW? WHERE? ahahaha

3.) Do I still need an AVR IN ADDITION to the UPS? Also, surge protector? AGH so many confusing stuff.

What Ever you do, don't get this one: CyberPower EC850LCD (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/534204-i-finally-figured-out-why-all-my-anteccorsair-psus-were-dying/)

A really nice unit (Which would be okay for this setup: http://www.amazon.com/APC-BR1500G-Back-UPS-10-outlet-Uninterruptible/dp/B003Y24DEU/ref=sr_1_11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1453706739&sr=1-11&keywords=apc+pure+sine+wave)

Also, please note, in the event of a power loss, you must save all of your work on your computer and turn it off (This is in order to keep the batteries from dying FULLY).

THAT'S EXPENSIVE! T_T. I thought the price range was just somewhere below 100 USD. #sad.

Good UPSes from the likes of Tripp Lite & Schneider are gonna be expensive.

It is 480 watts on battery. That will barely give you enough time to save and shutdown properly.

You're not giving me any tips on how to properly size a UPS.

So I'm like "520W PSU ~~ 480 W UPS close enough GGEZ"
