Im having so much problems with my system today.

I just turned off my system to reach my bios, i ended up not being able to that as it didnt post.

When im turning on my powersupply, the "on/off" button on the motherboardn turns on and quickly turns off once again.

I had this problem 4 months ago, i ended up taking out the cmos battery and putting it on again, i wont do this once again, i want to find out whats happening.

Before you put it back into the case, try breadboarding it. (Running it outside of the case.) This will eliminate any chance of shorts, as long as you do it on an antistatic surface such as your motherboard box.

Give an update if this doesn't fix it.

I ended up clearing cmos, and it worked.

What would have happened if it was a short?

Maybe it's just your cmos battery running out of power?

It wasn't a short if clearing cmos fixed it. Seems like something is wrong with your cmos or bios settings, and I don't think the cmos battery would be dying on a newer motherboard, usually they can last more than five years... You can find a CR2032 battery for pretty cheap online, to try and see if that's the problem, but it seems unlikely.
