Most of the time is either impossible or simply too tedious to do. Only few models give you this flexibility.

I know but it's still somethibg that I hadn't heard before but wondered many times. Although I'm almost 100%that we can't upgrade the dell inspiron that linus made a video for today, I think it would be worth it. You upgrade gpu ram storage and you have a really powerful laptop. But then again, why trouble yourself with all the hard work and why not just get a powerful laptop from that start to game on the go.

Quite a few laptops have this actually. Most Clevo-based ones will ship with such a feature and even some from MSI and Gigabyte have this as well as most AlienWare ones
