I finally decided to overclock my processor. (i7-4790k) I got it to 4.5Ghz at 1.27v but, when I run a stress test, (I used Handbrake which is a video compressor, it keeps your cpu at 100%) it underclocks to 3.4Ghz. Im not sure why it is doing this as it is not overheating to throttle.

I am using AI Suite 3 to OC

Here is a gif of it underclocking: http://i.imgur.com/i7xlz5Z.gif

Go to settings>power settings> and try balanced, see what happens

then try the full power setting and see what happens

try whichever worked for you :)

I personally use balanced as it brings down my cpu clock when idle but ramps it up when under load.

id say your llc settings are wrong and itll cut to much voltage under load(vdroop), thats why its going down again. can you check your voltage while testing?

I tried both and neither do anything. It still under clocks when I stress test.
