Steam Launching Issue

Steam does this from time to time. I'll put in my credentials and hit enter but then steam will just freeze right on launch! Sometimes it goes to background tasks. It's so annoying! Does anybody know a fix?

I have about the same problem, and i believe the only way to fix it is to reinstall

cant bother to fix it though because it only happens like 10% of the time

go into the steam install folder and delete the steamui.dll file. Relaunch steam and it'll update and regrab the file, fixes majority of buggy interface issues i've seen

I know what you mean, it's not common enough to the point where it's a huge issue but it's just getting obnoxious
