Where to volunteer to give computers to people who need 'em

Hey guys so I am interested in volunteering for an organization like free geek that refurbishes computers and gives them to people in need of them. I live in the Los Angeles area, and unfortunately the only such organization I could find is Computers 4 R Kids, which is located over 20 miles from me and also I might not be able to go to (my friends and I are all teens, and as far as I can tell computers 4 r kids is mostly for people ages 18-22). Do any of you know of any operations in la? I would like to volunteer for free geek since they even let people under 16 go as long as a parent or guardian is supervising, but no free geek operations are in Los Angeles.

I wanna help people as well as the fact that our school requires a certain amount of volunteering hours.

Most likely though I will end up doing it for more time than our school requirement.

EDIT: Also want to get some other people at our school to do it too. There are quite a few people that I am sure would be interested in this sort of thing.
