I have this rich friend who had just gotten a bunch of money after Christmas and his birthday and wanted to spend it on something. So he decided he wanted a balls to the wall computer under 1500 euro and I helped him with that. I got him the 970 and i5 4590k combo cause it fit the price range well. After all of my help though he decides knows better and buys a skylake processor. Thats fine but he forgot that his motherboard had a LGA 1150 chip. He bought a new motherboard and after all my help he gave me the motherboard for 10 euro xD

The motherboard in question is the MSI z97s Krait Edition. My old one was the MSI Z97 PC MATE. I plan on selling the old MSI one (because of colour scheme reasons). Would I be able to replace my motherboard without having to reinstall windows 7 or is there more to it?

Im guessing its simpler than what im thinking but I DO NOT want to fuck this up

Been playing on a laptop for 6 years, I play Dota 2 with 10fps. Some might say this is impossible, I say its just annoying

if it's not an OEM license then there are no problems just put the new motherboard in and install drivers
