Sound issue

ObsessiveGamerHD

Hey guys, having an issue with a PC I'm using atm - sound isn't working.

Tried different ports, different wires, different speakers, different headsets and it can't be the speakers. I also went into BIOS and made sure the HD AUDIO was enabled, and it was, looked round and found no other Audio switches, checked the wires on the inside of the PC, it's not them. Is your default playback device set to HD audio device?

Yeah it is, well it's set to speakers as the name 'HD Audio Device' isn't there and it was set to speakers before it stopped working.

Yeah it will probably be called speakers.

Goto the Advanced settings in the speaker properties and make sure it's set to 24 bit, 48000 Hz and that both exclusive mode boxes are checked.
