Hello

I search Effective & quiet fan (120) form a case. I think about be quiet pure wings (nosie similar to silent wings but its cheaper) but it effective enough? Ofc Akasa Viper is more effective but its probably louder then pure wing, Im right? What can you recommend for me?

Corsair 300R here

i5-4690K @ 4,5GHz // Asus Strik GTX 980Ti // 16 GB DDR RAM 3  Kingston Fury // MSI Z97 PC Mate // Thermaltake Smart 530W // Corasir 300R

Yes, the Viper is louder. They can both be pretty quiet though.

Why use 120mm's in a case that supports 140mm's though?

I want install 2 on front (case give me chance to install one 140 or two 120 so I want two), on back only one120.

Top 2 x 120 or 140 so maybe should I use that 140fans?

What do you think about side fans?

You think that be quiet pure wings are good fans?

if you're getting that off of the spec page, you're reading it wrong.

The front and top fit 2x 120mm or 2x 140mm.

PW2's are good fans.

If you want cooling recommendations, a list of your specs and a link to where you're shopping would be a good start.

Oh, great! So I really read wrong spec. I have i5-4690K with SilentiumPC Spartan PRO and Asus Strix 980Ti.

My idea of fans in case:

2 x front - air in

1 x back - air out

1 or 2 top - air out

1 or 2 side - air in

Tip: run front intake fans at 5V from the power supply if you haven't got enough headers on mobo. Using a 4-pin molex to 3-pin fan header swap the yellow wire(12V) with the red (5V) on the molex connector; or if you've got on two wires on the molex swap the red wire to the last slot. bingo---fan running at 5V and very quietly.

Currently using it on my intake fans 2 140mm stock and one corsair AF120. Barely audible

This won't work for very high RPM fans though a 1200rpm fan will run at approx 500rpm on 5V

So are you replacing the stock fans because they are too loud or adding fans because your current temps are too high?

Those temps are pretty low. You're fine up to 90c at load for either of them.
