Headphone Selection.

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

The M50x' do not need an amp at all. I also wouldn't recommend them personally.

Of the two my choice would be the Sennheiser HD558's.

I've been planning to get a pair of headphones. My first choice is the Sennheiser HD 558. I was hoping for my second choice to be the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x. I've been reading up on the m50x and I've heard the M50x needs an amp, is that true? Also if anyone who responds doesn't mind could you list out some more options not above 225$ on http://www.mwave.com.au/

Thank you. :D

Neither of those headphones need an amp at all, don't worry :P

As for which one to choose, don't have a strong opinion either way

Just get the HD 558. It's really good

I was thinking the m50x as a second option.

Hay man I found that Shure SRH 840 headphones have really really good sound quality, but they take a bit of getting used to because they're quite heavy, but that just means you'll get huge neck muscles ;) Ebay is a pretty king place to get them because most of them are in Hong Kong so shipping is pretty good to Straya #2601
