I have a question concerning micro stutter, for Linus or anyone else.  Would running Sli graphics card at pcei x16/x16 (utilising 2 pcei x16 slots) help reduce this problem. If not it will aid in my choice of a new mobo. Want a good one with HDMI 2.0 or Display Port 1.3 thunderbolt options and single or Sli cards depending on minimising stutter.

Cheers

SLI is usually the cause of microstutter. I've also heard (so don't quote me on this) that Skylake also has some stuttering issues, so if you're that worried then I'd go for Haswell, especially since it's not really outdated.

sli cards always have microstutter issues in most games, unless the game has an extremely good sli profile.

This was my thinking, but I'am no expert, I will probably stay with Haswell over Z170 the 'Skylake' seems to be a bit of a gimmick underperforming with the i5 6600k underperforming against the more solid hex core i7 5930k and you still get the DDR4 option on the X99 mobos.

Speaking of mobos, what's a good quality but reasonably priced (under £200) option that supports HDMI 2.0 and or Display Port 1.2a/1.3 thunderbolt native from the mobo. I know that top end gpu's have these but I want native mobo support.
