So I finally convinced my dad to let me build a pc for him. He's always bought a prebuilt system from HP, but I finally got him to crack and let me build one for him, and maybe teach him a thing or two.   He mainly uses his pc for word, excel, outlook,  etc.  But he also does some video editing with Sony Vegas Pro, and some other program that I think is Adobe.  Why he uses both, I have no idea.  I don't know much about video editing, or the components required, so I'm basically looking for help picking those components to better suit his needs.  I've only built computers that were primarily used for gaming, so I really don't know the difference (if there is one).  We have a budget of $1500-$2000, but if we need to go the extra mile and spend a little bit more, we will depending on how much it'll benefit us.  Thanks in advance for the input!
