For $50 you don't have too many options. One option would be to check out your local goodwill or other thrift store, you can find some gems for cheap!

I tried a couple of those 2.1 systems that cost $30-$50 and they were all pretty meh, but if you just want sound they will work for you: http://www.amazon.com/Cyber-Acoustics-Subwoofer-Packaging-CA-3602a/dp/B0027VT6V4/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1453363424&sr=8-13&keywords=2.1

I had those ones for quiet a while.

If you can save up a bit this combo will be so much better:

Speakers: http://www.amazon.com/Micca-MB42-Bookshelf-Speakers-Tweeter/dp/B009IUIV4A

Amp: http://www.amazon.com/Lepy-LP-2024A-Amplifier-Stereo-Supply/dp/B00ULRFQ1A

If you don't really care about quality and just want speakers for games and music, just go with the 2.1 system.
