Steam not connecting?

anyone else not able to log into steam? I'm trying to connect and it just takes me to user name and sign in screen enter my stuff and says cant do it. tried to reset says cant connect... I can connect to everything else and all ok anyone know if there is maintenance going on or anything... i am in the US also.

It was down for maintenance for about 10 minutes, it's back up for me.

yeah. something's wrong, I'm logged in, but can't launch the game

im typing in pw now and it makes the sign in screen go away but doesnt put the steam icon in tray and when i try and re open nothing nothing is in task manger either....
