Hi,
Got my air 540 in white and until SSD's becomed cheaper I'm using a HDD for my movies and games that I only irregularly play.

I was thinking of getting some black acrylic wood etc. so you are unable to see the HDD and maybe limit the noise of it as it is the loudest thing in my PC at idle.

Or would there be and ingenious way to mount it in the right hand side cable management section I haven't thought about.

Thanks

I suspend my hdd's in open-cell foam bricks nowadays.

The link pictures are from my older configurations and I have a more efficient molds now but the cramped basement of my S340 and my laziness means no pictures of that yet.

Using rubber grommet or mounts help but if you want to isolate it as much as possible you could move them to the rear section of the case suspend the drives inside the 5.25" bays or mount them on a thick piece of foam to completely isolate them from the case:
