Hello all, I am looking for some help recovering data from what appears to be a damaged 2.5 inch western digital hdd. As I understand it, what happened to the hard drive is one of my father's coworker's slammed his Dell Inspiron 15r laptop down on a table and in the process damaged his hard drive. when i attempt to boot the laptop the hard drive spins up as normal it will post and the bios detects that the drive is there however it will not boot into windows and when i connect the drive to my desktop computer the bios reads a S.M.A.R.T error on the drive and it is not detected by windows.

TLDR: HDD smart error and i need to recover data on the drive.
