Cannot access biod

TGROBBO

Just built my first rig, works fine and i have windows installed, but there is one hitch. I can't access my mobo bios. When I boot the PC I see the gigabyte logo (I have a Z170X-UD3) i spam delete, it takes a while to load then all I see is a black screen with a mouse cursor if I have one plugged in. I also tried to look in the manual to see if i could manually reset the bios or cmos but to no avail. I couldn't find how to. Thanks 4 help.

If you have an ssd it could be it is just booting so fast that the delete button doesn't register. You can....

  1. shut down the pc
  2. remove the PSU's power cord
  3. remove the MOBO battery, wait 1 minute
  4. put it back in the MOBO
  5. plug in the PSU's power cord
  6. power on the PC and you should be told to go into the BIOS to make changes....remember to reset the BIOS's date.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
