Need help with FireFox Sync

I have been using Sync ever since making the full-time conversion to FireFox a year ago. Lately I have been running into an issue where I can't get Sync to take the bookmarks currently on my main computer and overwrite the bookmarks saved in the cloud. Whenever I set up a new device or tell my main computer's browser to sync, it imports bookmarks/bookmarks folders from the cloud (which are missing a TON of bookmarks), and overwrites what is on my machine locally. Not only are almost all of the bookmark folders that is imports from the cloud empty, but it duplicates all of the bookmarks/folders at least once, sometimes twice. Does anyone know how to basically delete any saved cloud data and do a fresh sync of my current bookmarks so that it will correctly import saved bookmarks to new installs?
