Last checks before i order :)

Im buying the Takstar  HI2050's from amazon on tuesday, i just want to make sure that these are the best i can get for <£50 for gaming/electronica and that i have all the required components to mod them to have a detachable cable, is there a cable i can get that is 3.5mm jack 3 pole that goes into the headphones then into a 4 pole 3.5mm that i can plug into my phone?, i already have a soldering iron with solder so i think i have everything else, is there anything else that i may need?

I've never heard of 'Takstar' either but a lot of 'Gamer' or 'DJ' gear comes with exorbitant prices without great audio quality or comfort. I'd recommend Superlux HD 681 EVOs instead, along with a good USB condenser (The Blue Yeti Snowball and CAD U37 come to mind)

Oh, if you want to mod a pair of these, invest in some replacement Velour earpads. You'll appreciate the added comfort.

My main reason for going to mod the Takstar's was because i wanted a good cheap headset that i can use for electronica and gaming on my PC but i will be using them on my PS4 too so it needs to be a portable otherwise i would get a mic that i can sit on my desk :( Also, here is a link to a review of these headphones and tell me what you think because apparently they are 'insane' for the price and the audio quality is amazing so it the comfort https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjbwkUA2WIs (Skip to 8:07)

You can use them with your PS4 as long as you put it in a similar position. If you're on the couch, keeping it on a table just in front of you should be good enough, although if I was to make a recommendation, move your PS4 over to your PC rig and plug it into your monitor. I could be wrong, but you might enjoy the lower latency more (if you have a decent monitor), even though the drop in resolution will be a little more noticeable close-up.

Here's what the reviewer you mentioned critiquing the Superlux HD 681 EVOs.

Although I do beg to differ that they're 'fun' headphones- I've been using these for mixing and mastering some serious recordings, and they've astounded my contemporaries who have headphones that are a few hundred times more expensive than the ones I have. This was partly because I learned to mix and master with $4 Panasonic Earbuds (still awesome), but I prefer the Superlux HD 681 EVOs to the Audio Technical ATH M50Xs, which are triple the price.

Furthermore, I think all Superlux HD 681 EVOs manufactured in 2015 or later come with free replacement Velour Earpads. That's value.

I don't know. I've never heard of them.

They are well known.. As of late more-so the Takstar Pro80 clone that is the HyperX Cloud. I'd certainly take the Takstars over anything Superlux, that's for sure. Superlux has a cult following similar to the M50X, and while they may be alright, the 681 Evo for example is far too close in price to the famed Denon D1001 clones known as the CAL!.

The irony is that Takster is making headphones better than anything Beyerdynamic has produced in the last 10 years. "Ripoffs" indeed.

I asked on Z review's channel if i should get Takstar HI2050's or the HD681 EVO's or a different pair of headphones and he said to get HD668's or Pioneer SE-A1000 but i can't find the Pioneer's anywhere
