Back off your overclock or start bios modding.

Hello, I built my computer about 10 days ago and I have been really enjoying the performance, but I think I could squeeze out a little more with msi afterburner. I have a very good foundation on pc components but I am a newbie when it comes to overclocking.

Pc specs:

cpu:i3-6100 (3.7 ghz)

gpu:gtx 960 ssc acx2.0+ 2gb

Mobo:msi h170 m3 gaming

psu: EVGA 220-GS-0550-V1 80 PLUS GOLD 550 W

hdd:Western Digital Blue 1 terabyte

Ram: Corsair lpx (1x8) 2400 mhz

OS:Windows 10

cpu cooler: stock

Fans: 4 af120 quiet edition

So on over clocks using msi after burner I got(I didn't try to push more because I am new to OCing):

Core clock default: 1279mhz

Core clock OC Stabilized: 1539 mhz

Memory clock default: 1753mhz

Memory clock oc: 1773 mhz

Boost default: 1342 mhz

Boost OC: 1602

Power limit:110%

I ran some benchmarks using msi kombuster and played some minecraft

minecraft without OC: 80-100 Fps (Shaders)

Minecraft With OC:45-60 FPS (Shaders)

Obviously my performance decreased can someone please help?

Memory OC is more important for the 960. It's bandwidth-starved
