Cherry MX Silent vs. Brown

Hi,

 

Looking at getting a corsair keyboard and i am tempted by the silent keys on the strafe RGB, however i am a student and i do a fair amount of typing as well as gaming in my spare time so i was wondering whether brown may be more useful. Just looking for some opinions either way. i am open to other brands if people recommend them so long as they are mechanical.

The MX SIlent is a linear switch so it might not be optimal for typing. MX Browns can be pretty quiet too if you add O-rings or don't bottom out the keys.
