Dsr is Direcr Super Resolution, basically changing the resolution up, then downsapleing it to your monitors native resolution. (correct me if im wrong)I am pretty sure it wont Chang whatever noise your card is making.

does it sound like high spinning fans, or coil whine?

So I got told to turn on dsr from Evga to test if that stopped the noise my card it's making gtx970 but it comes up with 1,2,3,4 native resolution what one should I select

DSR shouldnt effect the noise of your card. All it does is render at a higher resolution and then scale it back down to your monitors native resolution. It can increase the crispness of games on 1080p monitors without using anti aliasing.
