Wix or Squarespace?

AlTech

IDK which one to pick.

Could you guys weigh some advantages and disadvantages upon me?

I'm making a website and I would pick squarespace except their UI isn't as easy to use as i'd like and they don't let people edit their website after the 14 day free trial ( I want to be able to edit it before investing money into a domain name and using it). Are there another major benefits of using squarespace or Wix?

Which one should i go for?

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Wix is the way to go as their Ui is clean and easy to use, they have lots of templates and it's mostly free. I have been using Wix for about 3 years now!

I'm inclined to say Wix, only because of Squarespace's aggressive advertising campaign. It's pretty annoying.

Wix user here:

Wix is good, but as I created a somewhat detailed page, the UI starts lagging. Moving stuff around is horrible.
Wix is good if you don't really plan on doing anything code-wise. Wix barely supports any custom HTML or code and even that only in the form of a widget.
With Wix you can put together a simple page within minutes. It's super intuitive and fun.

Super easy and intuitive, little to no support for custom code, laggy site editor when your website get's even a little bit more detailed.

I say Squarespace because my adblock stopped working and now I am getting Wix ads.
