Windows 10 or Headset causing mic problems?

Greetings,

 

I bought the steelseries siberia v3 white ( non usb ) about a week ago and had some problems with the mic.

The audio is working, but the mic doesn't.

The audiojacks are connected to the rear audio ports ( Soundcard: Asus Xonar DGX ). 

Strange is the mic is working on my iphone 6, so i guessed it has something to do with win10. I've updated every driver, but still only the mic isn't working.

The mic gets recognized in the soundsettings, but it doesn't record anything.

 

 

I appreciate every help I get

Is it a separate speakers and mic plug (green and pink maybe) or is it just one plug?  If it is just one, are you sure your system supports that?  If not (and it's all plugged in properly) what does your recording devices screen look like?  Have you tried turning up a mic boost?
