When I do a RAM test, because my system keeps freezing, it never goes past 21% completed. Does this mean my RAM is broken?

 

System Specs.

  • AMD FX-6300 - Boxed
  • Kingston Technology SSDNow V300 120 GB
  • Cooler Master GM Series G550M 550W
  • Kingston Technology HyperX Fury - DDR3 1866Mhz CL10 Kit Black 8GB (2 x 4)
  • Zalman Z11 Plus - Window Black
  • MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition
  • Corsair H55
  • TP-LINK TL-WN851ND - 300Mbs Wireless N PCI Adapter
  • Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • GeForce GT730-SL-1GD3-BRK (Going to uprade sometime)

Since your memtest is freezing at that point I would have to say that bad RAM could be a possibility. Try to reduce your RAM stick number down to only one. (only one RAM stick installed). Then run your memtest. do this for each stick of RAM you have do narrow down which stick is bad and replace that sick.

The only thing we have to fear is... Stupidity...

I tested both of the sticks separately and they stopped at 21%, then I put them in another RAM slot and the test succeded, but my system still freezes. Have any ideas why?
