So im wondering if I should purchase it.

Is it really blue, or is it tinted very lightly, so it almost seems like it is white?

If your walking about theses, they are quite blue, but tend to create mini spot lights around the system compared to LED strips. Personally I like LED strips over them since they give a more even lighting but that's up to you.
