MacBook Air 13" for programming

Here me out before you start shitposting about how terrible Apple is and how much of a waste of your money it is. For things like Xcode, Swift, etc, I have to get a MacBook. Is the MacBook 13" with 4GB of RAM substantial enough to have several programs open at once? Also, would I get tired of the screen seeing it's not retina?

the 4gb is fine, but for the price not really. also if you want to buy a macbook air, wait until the refresh cause maybe there won't be a sub 1080p screen on the new one.

idk, a couple months? have you tried looking at referb macbook pros? battery life is still good and the screen is so much better plus the extra power
