Which connector will i need here?

Im currently running my r9 390 from sapphire, using hdmi between the card and monitor makes me achieve only 60hz.

Which connector should i use instead?

But my screen tells me that its only able to run 60 fps. The monitor i have is a 144hz one

You didn't tell us your resolution. Assuming 1080p, if you want more than 60hz:

 

1) HDMI: Your card needs to support HDMI 2.0. Also a good quality HDMI cable is needed. It will do up to 1080p 120hz I think.

 

2) Displayport: Version 1.3 can handle up to 4K 120hz.

 

3) DVI-D: This will go up to 144hz (or more?) and is usually your best bet for your main monitor.

Yeah sorry, then thats Why, i thought that dvi-d was only capable of 60 fps :-)

That's for Single Link DVI. Dual Link can do 144hz no problem at all. I see your screen is 1080p, I'd just hook the DVI cable that came with it, it should play perfectly fine at 144hz.

 

Edit: Like @DEcobra11 mentioned above, both Displayport and DVI-D(dual) will work.
