Help Please, Windows 7 error

I have a windows 7 usb but it says cd/dvd driver missing, load the driver. I would like to reformat or repair my computer, how would i do this.

Are we trying to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 from a bootable flash key?

did you make the bootable USB yourself? if you did there could be a chance that the files in the the USB are corrupt. ive always clean installed windows vista, 7, and 8 on a homemade DVD disk and never ran into those problems. perhaps you can try that. download an ISO file of the OS you want to reinstall, in this case Win 7 (insert version here) then burn it to a DVD disk then plop it into your PC and do all the good stuff.

Also improper formatting of the key's file system will make it unbootable. Must be FAT32, not NTFS.

I've had similar errors when the bootable USB had an error, make it again , maybe download a new ISO incase the ISO had errors.

yes exactly, i know that the flash drive works because i used it before

i did that with 2 different iso of win 7 home premium, but for some reason nothing is working,

ive done ntfs before and had no problems until today
