Optical Drives

Go to solution Solved by Weak1ings,

I should of put blueray in my original post, you got any ideas on one with blueray?

Just decide on this page, the ASUS one is probably great but cannot write blue-rays.  if you add $12.50ish you can gain the writing ability.

So I am planing on building a computer here soon and I was thinking if I had some extra money I would throw a optical drive in there too. But I don't really know much about them I can't really find A video explaining the speeds and standards that they have, so I was wondering what would be the best optical drive to get that supports all disk types and also writes.  Also Sorry if this is in the wrong section for this question. Also Internal 5.25 drives not external please.

if you want one, get one.  Simple as that, just go for a cheap unless you need a blue-ray drive.

ASUS DVD/CD Drive $13.34ish

How often will you be using an optical drive? I can tell you I don't think I've used one on well over 3-4 years.
