There are plenty of cheap DDR2 kits you can find on eBay from Chinese sellers, I've bought a couple since it is cheaper than getting some locally and it has worked fine.

theres not much to know really... step 1: is it DDR2? If so then step 2: does the stick say 4 gigs? If so then step 3: is it within your budget? If so then step 4: buy it.

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!

AMD only RAM is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. RAM is RAM. It'll work in all and any RAM slot provided it's the right type (DDR2, DDR3...etc)

I'm using a bio star G41-M7, it has 2ram slots i already have 2x2 sticks of hp ram i want 1x4 stick so i can have 6 gigs of ram

4GB DDR2 DIMMs are pretty uncommon, most of the ones I can find on eBay have been scrapped from servers so you won't be able to use them with your motherboard. There are a few listings for DDR2 SODIMMs so if you can find one for the price you want you could get an adapter like this and it should work for you. Any other options are way over $100 so you don't have too much choice.

If you haven't already you should try looking around some local places in your area that might have some old unused computers, you might be able to salvage a motherboard that has room for 4 DIMMs or even the memory that you are after.
