Hey guys, so I've decided it's time for a new PC build being that new titles are coming out in 2016 and my current PC just isn't gonna cut it. I've been wanting to do and AMD build for awhile now, but now that I'm into it, there are just so many parts on the market and I don't know which ones to pick. If you guys could give CPU, GPU, Mobo, etc. ideas that would be great. I would like the PC to last long, but I would also like it to be able to have stuff added or changed in the future. I'm hoping to stay below $1,300 so make sure if you give an idea it's not too over the top. :)

If you're doing a build within that budget, make sure to get an Intel CPU. AMD GPUs are good though (most of them)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

Unfortunately, CPU-wise, AMD is not really a viable option (until Zen releases). You can, however, switch the GPU to a Fury X if desired, but I recommend you only do this if you aren't overclocking. Here's my take:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($253.87 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($118.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($84.88 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB FTW ACX 2.0+ Video Card  ($597.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($63.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($64.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $1304.55

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

AMD CPU's are an option, the FX-8350 is old but still good. To get good performance out of it though, I would get a beefy water cooler so you can do some series OCing, but like other people said, go with something like an i5-6600k. With the amount of money you'll need to spend on water cooling to get got performance, you can get a 6600K. Unless you think intel is somehow a bad company, and that you'll never buy from them....

I spent $947 on my build and the only used components in the machine are my dual R9 270x's that I couldn't pass up on. I also didn't include an OS, Keyboard or Mouse as I already had those. I did buy a second monitor from a pawn shop for $30 but that isn't really part of the build, just me screwing around with dual monitors.

Specs are in my sig. If you can go with a full ATX motherboard, I would recommend it for maximum upgrade availabilities.

i7 6700k||Asus Z170-A||Powercolor R9 270X PCS+ 2GB||Bitfenix Prodigy M||16GB PNY Anarchy DDR4||Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD||Corsair CX850M power supply||Silverstone Tundra Series TD02-E AIO CPU cooling

They're good, IF you already have one, it's better to just wait and see what the future brings in the CPU market instead of changing it now, I wouldn't recommend buying a new one in majority of cases as for today though.

That build is bad. Maximum upgrade availabilities? With an 8350? That's basically the best CPU you can get for the socket, so no upgrades there. Also, two 270X's are much worse than a single, more powerful card and they actually LACK upgrade path since you won't be adding a third one. That power supply is also poor quality, don't recommend that build to people please as you can do much better
