My computer has been outputting very inconsistent sound levels, (the volume mixer on computer isn't changing). It goes from very loud to inaudible.

My setup

Asus Crosshair V Formula Z mobo

8320e CPU

r9 280x

Windows 10

I've:

reinstalled both Realtek sound drivers and motherboard drivers,

tried different cables, speakers (TV, headphones, and a small speaker), and output (Front connector, back connector, over HDMI)

clear CMOS

Thanks

Sorry It may not make sense.

Does it change when you turn on an application or game or skype or something?

The level that the computer says, (EX. 50%) doesn't change.

The real life volume changes in all the programs I use.

And Not just in the starting of a program or when I start another program.

For example I'll be playing a game and I'll get it to a comfortable sound level, and it always will get too loud at some points and inaudible at others

Sorry If that didn't answer your question, its hard to describe.

Thanks
