Just pick a difrent power supply, there are better options than the CX series ;)

would it damage any of the components???

It has a pretty bad reputation... i dont know enough to tell you the exact specifics but i know that the transistor in the cx series are not very good. the description even says NOT FOR HIGH POWER BUILDS so there meant more for like office builds
