r390x strix water cooling

Hello guys, looking for at full cover waterblock for my R9 390x Strix. The thing is that a ASUS Radeon R9 390X DC2, can use a R290x DC2 water block, when looking on EK. But the Strix can't but both card look the same without the cooler on. So is it possible to use that waterblock.

Sorry for the broken english, hope you guys can help.

The screw mounting points  look different. I won't take that chance.

^  the screw on the top (or back) behind the main gpu seems further apart.

Oh come on, open your eyes :o

The complete Power Delivery is different, the Matrix has way more phases.

The Matrix PCB is also waaaay wider, just look at the space between the RAM chips and the end of the pcb.

Its not even close :o

The only 390x's I know of that are watercoolable are select xfx cards(Some newer 390/390x cards from them have taller inducters) which have the 290x reference pcb, and the 390x dc2 which shares the pcb with the 290x dc2. Unfortunately both of them are hard to find as the dc2 390x is discontinued and all the xfx cards that are new are guaranteed to have the new inductors. I was lucky and found a 390x dc2 at my local microcenter, but generally it is hard to find online. according to ekwbs website the 390x msi says coming soon on the configurator. as for the strix card, it says no block is planned. so you could use a universal block, but I dont like to use them if I can help it.
