Hey guys,

So I have an interesting problem. My BIOS boots slowly, and the Q-Code it gets stuck on for a while is 64 (ASUS Maximus VI Gene/4770k). It sticks for a good 10 seconds or more at times, before it goes past the ROG boot screen. CMOS resets don't seem to help, I swapped out the RAM DIMMs (doubt it changed anything).

The Q-Code explains (well, just mentions) that it's the process of CPU DXE Initialization. Could I have a bad CPU - or does it have something to do with the fact that I'm booting from a HDD (SSD reserved for another project). Puzzling situation, everything seems to be working exceptionally well besides the slow BIOS boot. I could try stress-testing the CPU, or even Memtest86+ for a few rounds if that's the case. Any ideas? Thanks.
