Setup not detecting directx

I tried to install a game (FROM 2008) that uses directx 9.0c.

However setup doesn't recognize it on my pc, so I can't go on with the installation.

Then the setup is broken, what game you doing?

Crysis 1 & 2 gave me this problem.

copy the install files to the hdd..then run it as admin and in compatiblity mode

Found a way around it, there was another setup file
