That is the reason then.

I have two monitors also, my idle temps are 40-45c usually.

Your temp is fine.

Having multiple monitors makes your temperature go up about 8-10c for each extra monitor.

Hey guys,

 

I have a Sapphire Radeon 7950 Vapor-X OC, this cooler is supposed to be good, but my idle temps. are really high:

I know its summer but this is not normal, how Can i fix this?

- i5 4670 at stock

- Sapphire Radeon 7950 Vapor-X OC

- MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Mobo

- 8gigs HyperX Ram at 1600

- 1tb HDD

- Corsair CX750m PSU

- CM Storm scout II Advanced Case

Do you have multiple monitors?

Also check the temp with MSI afterburner or something.

1x LG W2340V Monitor and 1x Toshiba 40FT1U HDTV and I'm idling @ 37°c.

MOBO - Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0   CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 3.5GHz - Corsair H80i   RAM - 2x Corsair Vengence 4GB DDR3 @ 1666 MHz

Dont agree with that i have 3 monitors and on idle my temps are below 30c  room temp around 25. 670 Direct CO2 not OCed

25c room temp is not warm at all...its on the colder side.  You must also have a well ventilated room.

Also wtf is a 670 direct CO2?

He has a low room temperature and most likely good ventilation where his PC is.

There's nothing wrong with your GPU.

Improve case airflow, clean inside your case etc.

btw did you check your gpu temp with msi afterburner OP? I wouldn't trust amd overdrive.
