Hi all!

For a bit now I've been looking for an Xbox 360 controller for PC, as there are some games that I can't play all that well with a controller, and after having a controller chewed by a pet I just need a new one for playing in general.

What should I go for? Normally I'd steer away from anything Razer, but the Sabertooth has really caught my eye, don't know if it'll be worth just waiting for the XB1 and using a wired controller from that or not. What do you guys think?

When you play The Game of Thrones, you win or you die...

Just buy a cheap official Xbox 360 wired controller, go for the Razer Controller if you are going to be using it with both PC and console.

You can actually use an existing 360 controller if have one if you pick up one of these USB adapters.

 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1PU0FK3080

Turns out to be cheaper than buying the one that is labelled "for windows" and you can get the ones with the newer black trim that way.

I originally got the Xbox 360 Controller for windows and then to play local multiplayer I picked up another regular two controllers and they worked flawlessly so I know it works.

Have fun gaming by the way. :)

There are 2 versions of the xbox controller.

1. The standard xbox controller made for xbox

2. The same controller but made for PC

The one made for PC is more expensive for no reason at all.

Both work fine on a PC.

Actually to use the standard controller you need a little dongle that you can find for cheap here.

When I had gotten DmC and Darksiders, playing with KB + mouse was far from ideal, they felt unwieldy and a pain to use. Got sick of trying to play hack and slash games with KB + mouse, so I went and got a wired MS XBOX 360 controller for Windows and XBOX 360. What I like about it is there is no need for fiddling with mapping of keys and such, it simply works....and hack and slash games are way more fun with a controller.

I had the Razer Onza TE and the thing was a massive waste of money. They're more expensive the 360 controllers and they're less than half the value. Unless its free I wouldn't use a Razer controller again, just get a 360 controller. Failing that, if you have a Dualshock 3 around then download Motionjoy and map it as a 360 controller, thats what I do now.

  • I know it sucks but I ended up buying a Microsoft xbox 360 controller for the PC. I started with a logictech wired rumble but that had issues with random games, then i got the logic tech wireless that had issues with different games. The xbox 360 gamepad works flawlessly with all the games that support game pads. I even use it with steam big picture just for fun some times.

Work Station:: Cooler Master Storm Trooper // i7-3930K @ 3.9 GHz // Asus Sabertooth X79 // Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4X4GB) 1600 MHz // Cooler Master 1200W Gold // Xonar Essence STX // Radeon HD 6970 // Avermedia HD Live Gamer Pro

Who says the MS XBOX 360 controller for PC and XBXO 360 suck? I'm using it and it runs on games that have controller support flawlessly, no need to set this or that profile, no need to remap this or that....it simply works.

Sorry, What I ment was that it sucks that it cost so much, at least at the time that I bought mine. But it works, it just works. which is what i was getting at.

I've got a wireless xbox 360 controller specifically for my PC and no problems at all.
I got it mainly for use with my astronomy telescope since I use it to slew around. Wired controllers outside in the dark are a nightmare.

Stuff I try to use;

AMD FX 8350 4.3Ghz, Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Motherboard, 2x Asus HD6850, 8BG Kingston Hyper X RAM, Hyper X 120Gb SSD, Corsair GS800 PSU, Cooler Master HAF922 Case and my branes.
