I am looking to buy a seconds GTX 970. One that has 3 DisplayPort i/o slots would be perfect so I found "EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW+ GAMING ACX 2.0+" I was just like to know if it would work in SLI with my currant GPU, EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Also if they are compatible would my 650W power supply be ample for powering them.

@Turtus

You should be fine without any overclocks on the GPU side that is not too intensive.

And the two cards would work side by side just well enough, but would run at the slowest clock speed among the two cards.

SLI will work as long as both gpus have the same chip ( in your case, gtx 970 ) and the same amount of vram. Your psu should be able to handle the cards just don't go too crazy with the overclock.
