My friend blew his power supply, he has a spare one with  the same amount of watts but the pci six pin dont work on that(bent pin too far). How much will the performance hit be. The 6770 has 300 more stream processors but its a rebadge so i was wondering if that would give the 7750 some advantage i some areas.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking.
Are you asking for a performance benefit from older to newer card?
Or performance hit from a broken power connector?

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?

The person he is talking about has a broken power connector and the 6770 needs additional power so the guy has to get the most powerful card purely powered off pci lane so the op is asking what will the performance difference be like from a 6770 to a 7750 i.e will it be better or worse or the same

Yes exactly, as i had a card from the 5000 series i saw how badly they were with dx11(driver support) as the support is better now i was thinking that the performance would balance out.

Performance wise, 7750 is on par or slightly slower than a 6770. This is based on reviews before Catalyst 12.11 drivers though, not sure how well it perform nowadays.

That's because gpuboss is an absolutely terrible website, I wish people would stop using it, it's misleading & disinformative beyond words.

A 7770 would perform a tin bit better a 7750 would perform a tiny bit less than a 6770.

Honestly I'd recommend just doing a graphics card upgrade instead of a replacement, a 7850 would be a very good way to go, especially once overclocked.

He has £45 to spend and he found a 7750 for the price. He definitely doesnt have the money for a better gpu.
