Budget mic for recording gameplay

Mjvdk

To start off, I am in a large racing community in gta v and have recently started recording and editing videos to upload to youtube.  Upon editing I have found that although my video is up to the standards that viewers require, my audio isn't quite up to par.  Mind you, it isn't awful either.  I am currently using a razer kraken 7.1 headset and will continue to into the future.  I have roughly 100-120 CDN for use in a new mic and stand.  If you truly believe I will need any other accessories, feel free to throw them in as well.  Remember, I'm in Canada(Ontario) so CDN only to avoid confusion.

Edit: Please mantain use of large companies such as newegg, ncix and bestbuy.  If needed, I am willing to use amazon although will try to refrain from purchasing used equipment through ebay etc.

There is the Blue Snowball for a mic  I'd say Yeti, but it's over budget at $140 CA

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

Fairly over budget, especially if I factor in a cheap boom mic ($20-40)

Is there a large difference in audio quality between the snowball and snowball ice?

Get the AT2020 + Neewer Suspension Boom for $132. This should be exactly what you're after.

He would require a way of getting an XLR input into his PC

It is not a huge difference, but having just heard about the CAD U37, I'd recommend that a lot more.

Yea, I just watched a bunch of reviews on the CAD U37, I think I'll be going with it.  Thanks guys

Edit: Will I be needing a shock mount/would it be recommended?

Unless you are doing everything in a truck, you are probably fine.
