I have a 990fxa-UD3 rev 4.0 Gigabyte motherboard with an AMD fx-8350. I just downloaded easytune to overclock and was able to get the setting set to 4.4 gHz, but when running cinebbench, my CPU will max out at 4.2gHz while open hardware monitor tells me the max is 4.4gHz. Basically I just need to know if the newer version of Easytune will work entirely with my motherboard. I checked the website for my board and they only had easytune 6 in the download section. The new easytune says "Support AMD FM2+/AM3+ series motherboards (support may vary by model)." and I'm not sure if my board will work. I checked newegg and the only other board that I saw with AM3+ from gigabyte is the GA-970A-UD3P. I checked gigabyte's website and the rev 2.0 for that board did have the new easytune available for download. I'm just looking for someone in the same situation because I'm not sure if this is just Gigabyte not updating their website, or if I'm just sol.

Thanks!

Did you turn your PC off?

The settings only apply once restarted

I have the same CPU imma give it a shot

yeah I restarted with each time I changed the settings. The cpu is base 4.0 so I'm not sure why it would lock at 4.2 with a max of 4.4 (with the settings I had applied)

It's definitely overclocking somewhat (using the newer easytune). Ran cinebench and noticed that cpu core 5 and 7 seem to be holding back all the others. This happens no matter what level I'm overclocking at.
