Computer resets when I make changes/installing stuff

I recently upgraded my psu for my gpu, but my gpu was faulty so I returned it and my psu is still in the machine. I've had a couple problems since then but almost all of them are gone, except this one problem. I tried installing gta 5, but after downloading, there's a prompt asking me to give administrative access or denial of the installation. And after clicking on accept, my pc will either reset and ask me to go in safe or normal boot, or a check disk error will occur. I'm really not sure what the problem is, can anyone help out?
