Overclocking on 6600k

Hey all,

 

I have never overclocked before, and I was wondering what kind of overclock I could expect on an i5 6600k cooled by the Kraken X61.

Some guy called my office, trying to sell me computers. I just said "oh you mean those little box's with the tv on top? Yeah, our accountant has some". He promptly gave up and hung up the phone lol

around 4.6 @ 1.3v if you're lucky with the chip

we can only guess, but the chip will decide because every cpu is different

 

just bump up the multiplier on stock voltage till it crashes in a stress test, then increase voltage till its stable. the go again, raise multipler and voltage till you have your OC, but never go over 1.4 V

There isn't anything to expect, because it's all by chance, the luck of getting and good chip and a bad chip. The only thing you are expecting that it meets the rated speeds that is advertised.

I am fine at about 4.3 but I was lazy and used my mobos built in OC function.

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a Wii and PS2 as your only consoles.
